About True Gritz

TrueGritz is the first Southern culture variety show created exclusively for the Internet.

With gossip going around that distinctive Southern culture is long-gone dead, the co-creators of TrueGritz, Sas Gordon-Walker and Pauline Ashley-Wilkes, know nothing could be further from the truth. In their high and mighty heads, newsworthy Southern issues are alive, well and flourishing — albeit in delightfully untraditional ways.

By creating TrueGritz, Gordon-Walker and Ashley-Wilkes bring a global (and beyond) audience the art of Dixie — the best the South has to offer. They endeavor to entice viewers and subscribers with a mix of low and highbrow cultural offerings — each yummy morsel chatted about, digitized and presented in a short, weekly format that shouldn’t eat up too much of your precious bandwidth.

TrueGritz is written, produced, directed, scribbled-on and uploaded to you exclusively by Pauline Ashley-Wilkes and Sas Gordon-Walker.

The show is edited by Jeff Deaton.
The set was created by Wyatt Gordon.
Lighting provided by Danielle Ayan.

Special thanks in launching the first show go to James Kelly, Craig at Junkman’s Daughter, and, well, you know who you are.
